3D GameLab, a game-based learning platform, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) teamed up to create "Planet Stewards," an environmental literacy curriculum for high school students. This project was a recent winner in the DML Badges for Lifelong Learning competition. Planet Stewards allows students to create their own personalized learning pathways in environmental and science literacy. Using NOAA’s content and 3D GameLab’s game-based learning platform, students are engaged by choosing among quests. Students earn experience points, levels, and badges to demonstrate their achievements in weather, climate, coastal, ocean and lake science, all aligned to National Science Standards.
