Abstract This year, I created a new student club at my college called "Academic Avatars" with the purpose of exposing students to the educational purposes of incorporating virtual activities, fieldtrips and building projects into their college courses. This virtual club is also geared at students who are unable to participate in traditional clubs on campus due to their busy work schedule and family life. Please stop by our area and meet the first cohort of students who are excited to be called academic avatars!
